SpringerOpen, which was launched in June 2010, is a collection of Springer's 200+ peer-reviewed fully open access publications in all fields of research.
We increased our open access book offering in August 2012, in response to the growing demand for open access and the success of the journals. They are published under the name and added to our existing open-access journal repertoire.
Upon publication, SpringerOpen journals and books are made freely and permanently available online. They go through rigorous peer review, author, and production services to ensure the work's quality and consistency.
